Karen Wittmer

My name is Karen Wittmer and I am one of the co-chairs of the pastoral council. I serve in this position along with Kevin Quinn and also the support of a dedicated council including; Fr. Chris, Peggy Gentile, Jim Connelly, Barb Cappucci, Kevin Sullivan, Kurt Spero, Damian Shammas & Tammy O’Shaughnessy.

Our Pastoral Council here at St. Patrick’s is an appointed group of parishioners who support our pastor and the parish staff. We do this by providing advice and counsel to our pastor. Fr. Bob has selected our members, and we serve at his discretion. The council traditionally has 10 members and together with the pastor we assess the needs of our parish and the merits of the various programs and activities of the parish. New appointments are made by the pastor according to the needs of the council.

There are seven essential elements central to the functioning of the pastoral council which include: Evangelization Service Worship Stewardship Word Leadership Community

These seven elements are also integrated into our parish mission statement. The agenda of the council is primarily to research, consider, and propose for actions that relate to these seven elements.
