I speak today as a representative of the Parish Finance Council, I have also been involved with, and can answer questions about the school budget committee, the school endowment, and the education council.

The Parish Finance Council has nine members and meets monthly to review and approve the annual parish budget, and to monitor actuals versus budget throughout the year on a monthly basis.

Approximately two thirds of the parish budget relates to the school income and expenses. The parish subsidizes the school.

Expenses are watched closely. Fr Bob and the administrative staff are careful with spending money and stick to and usually come in below the budget for the year. There doesn't appear to be a lot of fat in the budget.

Two revenue trends are worrisome. First, enrollment in the school has fallen meaningfully. We have made some changes in the school and hopefully that will address this issue. Second, the Sunday offertory has been falling.
