Ministers of Holy Communion assist the priests at Mass with the ministering of Holy Communion to the assembly. They also visit the homebound to bring Holy Communion to them on a weekly basis. In order to serve as a Minister of Holy Communion, one must be fully initiated in the Catholic Church, having received the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist. Preparation sessions for becoming a Eucharistic Minister are held regularly and on-going support is offered.
