Fundraisers

The Home & School Association is the fundraising and service arm of St. Patrick School.  Below are the major fundraisers that are held annually.  Questions can be sent to the Home and School Co-Presidents at spshsa@stpatrick.us.

Basket Bonanza Annual Fundraiser
Basket Bonanza is the Home and School Association’s major fundraising activity.   The evening themed event is usually held in March or April in the Parish Center.  Ticket purchase consists of dinner and cocktails, a basket raffle, and a live/silent auction.  A pre-event sale is open to the public that day for purchase of raffle and basket tickets.  This fundraiser is an obligation of the school tuition contract.  Every school family is required to donate a basket of $100 in value or provide a $100 cash “buyout”.  Profits help support school projects, teacher retention, and media/library support.

Fall Fundraiser
In September we hold an Innisbrook wrapping paper/small gift sale.  Innisbrook provides high quality items for all your gift wrapping needs.  Delivery of the items is in November.  This fundraiser is an obligation of the school tuition contract.  Participation is to sell $200 worth of items or provide a $100 cash “buyout”.

Scrip
Scrip is “substitute money” which comes in the form of a gift card.  You purchase Scrip at face value that can be used like cash to purchase products or services from merchants who have issued them.  The school receives a percentage of scrip sold.

Specialty Fundraising
St. Patrick School participates in the Box Tops for Education, Schoolpop.com, and Campbell’s Soup Label Program.  Our school receives benefits such as software, art and classroom supplies, library enhancements and office supplies.

Treat-of-the-Month and Winter Family Social
Proceeds from these two events benefit Tri-County Scholarship Fund; an organization that provides a private or parochial education for economically disadvantaged children.  We currently sponsor a student at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Passaic. Once a month, the school’s lunch program offers a tasty dessert for sale with proceeds going toward the student’s tuition. The Winter Family Social is a fun evening gathering of the school community.
